Fuel Buying Consortium

Milburn Community Co-operative is currently exploring the possibility of developing community purchase scheme for fuels such as oil, wood and electricity with a view to reducing the cost of such fuels. At this stage there are no firm plans in place but if you are interested in joining such schemes could you please contact the following people. Please provide an estimate of the annual usage of the specific fuel(s).

Oil buying consortium

It is proposed that the scheme would operate on the basis of tanks being topped up regularly three/four times a year rather than when they are empty. Billing would be to individual households and not via the Co-operative.
