Fellnet Broadband

Fellnet is a trading arm of Milburn Community Co-operative whose aim is to provide a high-speed broadband supply to all households and businesses in the Parish of Milburn.

The Big Lottery provided the Co-operative with a grant of £32,909 to develop the network.

The basis of the provision is that all households opting to take the service within the Parish will be provided with a connection, installation being free of charge. Currently, the service is provided for a monthly flat fee of £20.

The service started in December 2015 and has run successfully since. There are currently over fifty subscribers.

The service is via a wireless system, the backhaul being provided by Vodafone.
